Tentatively titled Rise, this sculpture was commissioned for Willinga Park, which is an equestrian centre in Bawley Point. 

On holiday, lying on the couch, looking on top of the kitchen cupboard I noticed an array of supermarket products carefully arranged for future use and general admiration. Why are these not more often employed for subject matter in paintings, being as they are, so compelling, I asked myself?

Sometimes a found object needs to be left where it is, when its meaning is dependent on its placement. These items might be called found installations or found contexts.

Responses to my posts are far with even less than few between. It seems to me that readers are covert, that they visit my blog out of curiosity but are not inclined to leave a trace of having been.

The Crossing found its launch at Sculpture by The Sea's twentieth anniversary exhibition in 2016.
